Jonathan Ramirez is originally from New Britain, CT, where he attended New Britain High School and played baseball and basketball for the Hurricanes. After his career at New Britain High School he left the east coast and traveled to Santa Maria, CA where he made Allan Hancock College his new home. He was able to make first team all-league in both baseball and basketball, as well as Athlete of the Year. He was able to earn a scholarship to Corban University where he played baseball and basketball and studied Criminal Justice. After Corban University, Jonathan came back to his roots at Allan Hancock College where he began his collegiate coaching career. He continued the growth of the Mens Basketball program and helped 16 players get to the next level. Jonathan then moved on to Cuesta College where he began coaching the womens basketball team, his stint at Cuesta was one for the history books. His team broke every record at the school and had 10 girls move onto the next level. Following his success at Cuesta College, he began his journey as a four year level coach where he was able to help a struggling San Diego Christian program become extremely respected. He was able to recruit and give 27 student athletes the opportunity to play collegiate basketball. Jonathan's journey continued to the Antelope Valley University where he was able to setup a great culture and make a program that was just a year old become a national powerhouse. He recruited another 22 student athletes while at the University of Antelope Valley. He was able to work himself to become a collegiate Head Coach at the University of Saint Katherine at just 30 years old. The opportunity he had with the University of Saint Katherine was parallel to non, as he was given the opportunity to start a collegiate program. Jonathan was able to recruit 27 student athletes as well as building a winning and respected culture. He was able to become the most winningest coach in school history, finishing ranked 11th in the country in the NCCAA in year one, winning the conference and winning Coach of the Year. Through Jonathan's journey he then found his true passion and that's to help young men and women turn dreams into realities. His track record, character, and work ethic is why he has had success and will continue to push him forward in giving anyone that works with him the greatest of possibilities.

A Message From Jon:

The reason why JR Athletics was created is very simple. I wanted to give young men and women the opportunity of getting the chance to play at the collegiate level. I understand the recruiting process could be hard, tedious and confusing, if not educated. My sole purpose is to connect families with college coaches and educate families on how the recruiting process works. Jonathan is extremely passionate and has helped hundreds of student athletes get to the next level. His number one goal is to make sure families have an outlet and someone they could get advice from, ultimately connecting these student athletes with college coaches. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
